1. Blink by Malcolm Gladwell
I finished my first book of 2009! *applause*
I've had it, roughly forever. Okay, that's not true. I've had it since Blink came out in paperback. I could probably Google that and tell you exactly when that was, but I'm not going to bother because you really don't care.
If you are a fan of Gladwell's first book, The Tipping Point, or Freakonomics, you'll probably enjoy Blink as well. It's a very interesting look at how powerful our first impressions can be and how those impressions can be good or bad. I don't know. I enjoy this kind of stuff, but then I'm kind of a dork.

I've heard of that. And I do think we generally get things a lot faster than we give ourselves credit for.
