I miss the good old days.

Comments

Yes. But it's easier to find them now. I think that's a good thing.
Have you ever read the posts on USA Today? They really need to stop letting people post comments. People from other countries who read it must think, "Jesus! Americans are stupid, sexist, racist, gay bashers." It's embarrassing...
the stoop..........and the pulpit
idiots shouldn't be allowed computers... it makes the rest of us look bad
This post was brought to you by the staggering number of ill-informed conservatives, religious zealots, and "ex-gays" who populate Vox. When Vox was still in beta, you could go to the Explore page and find five cool new neighbors. Now you can go to the Explore page and find five awful slurs.

Sigh.
What's sad is that none of these guys would ever be caught in "real life" saying these things. They know their co-workers, family and anyone else who has to put up with them on a daily basis would tell them where to put it. Ah, Anonymity: where the trolls and the haters all hide.
I want to say that smart conservatives don't bother me. Ok, I was going to make a joke about a smart conservative being an oxymoron, but I won't. ;)

I just get annoyed when people use flawed logic or conservative politics is a thinly veiled disguise for their racist, sexist agenda. Blah.
True, so long as you see that it's not just conservatives. Liberals have similar logic issues. I think what is needed is a new political label: fascists. On both sides. Who what to push their agenda on you for whatever reason. Oh, wait, that's an old political label. Maybe we'd just better call them morons and vote every last one of them out of office every time. Imagine how much more these morons would get done if they knew that (a) they had two years to get it done and (b) wouldn't be sucking down a fat congressional pension forever.

I found it easier to read Ann Coulter when I figured out she's just a through-the-looking-glass Al Franken.
Liberals may have flawed logic, but I don't find many liberals whose main agenda seems to be the continued suppression and discrimination of minority groups.
Granted. Jackassery is everywhere. I watched Nova yesterday about the Creation vs. Evolution debate in Dover, and I wish I could say I was surprised that at the end, the judge who presided over the case and ruled against teaching intelligent design in schools was flooded with death threats. By people who claim to be Christians.

This is why labels are bad.
Where? who? hee hee.
